Shayan is a data scientist and energy market analyst currently working as a research assistant at CEEM. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (2016), a Master’s in Energy Systems Engineering (2018), and a PhD from UNSW (2024) on the "Value Proposition of Solar Pre-Cooling in Australian Housing Stock." Shayan possesses extensive programming, data analysis, data engineering, and modeling skills, specifically tailored toward energy markets and electricity market modeling.
At CEEM, Shayan contributes to data analysis and software development, while also collaborating with industry partners in the fields of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging. He has contributed in the development of open-source tools, including the Pacific Energy Balance Dashboard, NEMED, and the Residential Solar Pre-Cooling Tool.
