Liping Wang is a PhD. candidate at UNSW, currently in her second year, specializing in optimizing residential battery energy storage (BESS) sizing for typical Australian properties with electric vehicles (EVs). Her research focuses on developing an optimization method to utilize the charging and discharging flexibility of EVs, integrating them into the distribution power system to achieve economic and environmental benefits. By fully leveraging the flexibilities of EVs and BESS in daily operations, Liping aims to benefit owners and other stakeholders. Her work seeks to answer critical questions on the optimal sizing of BESS, enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of energy usage in residential properties.
