Ted Spooner

School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications

Ted is a Senior Visiting Fellow in Energy Systems. His interests include: Design of remote area power supply (RAPS) and grid connected renewable energy systems. Investigation of protection systems for electricity grid interactive inverter systems. Harmonic analysis of RAPS and grid connected inverter systems. Design of medium power inverter systems for a motor control, remote residential power, grid connected photovoltaic systems and the application of microcontroller systems for their control. Microcomputer applications applied to power electronics particularly in the area of renewable energy conversion systems.
