Scott is a PhD candidate with CEEM and the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW. His research focuses on integrating distributed energy resources, particularly on rooftop PV into distribution networks. This covers a spectrum of associated issues faced in both a technical and market-based sense. He aims to bridge the gap between industry and academic worlds by incorporating market structures and regulations into modern control systems to investigate ways to better utilise existing DER for minimising the energy cost for end users. Scott has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of New South Wales and has worked as an electrical engineering consultant.
