Join us for a knowledge-sharing webinar on the SolarShift project.

Domestic electric water heaters could be used to soak up excess solar generation in the network that can benefit households and support electricity network operations. In this webinar, the UNSW research team will share their findings from modelling different water heating technologies and coordinating a large number of water heaters as a giant “Megawatt scale” thermal battery.

The presentation will highlight the financial and environmental benefits, the potential network support of coordinated heating operations, and the ongoing work on the ‘SolarShift Customer Hot Water Journey’ online tool.

Speakers from the UNSW research team:

Dr. Baran Yildiz (project lead)
Dr. David Saldivia
Ruby Klisser
Dr. Hossein Saberi
